Resident Evil Village will offer up a PS5-exclusive demo called Maiden, and it will be available later today.

“The demo doesn’t feature combat, or even blocking,” Capcom said of the initiative.

Players won’t be controlling protagonist Ethan Winters in the demo, but instead will control the titular “Maiden”. At present, there’s not much else known about the mysterious character.

Capcom also confirmed that even though the Maiden demo is a PS5-exclusive, a more available demo will head to all platforms closer to the game’s now-confirmed May release date.

We’ll let know when the demo is live. The demo is now live on the PlayStation Australia Store — you can grab it right here.

Resident Evil Village is a sequel to Resident Evil 7 and is expected on 7 May 2021 across Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5.
