Resident Evil Code Veronica remake a “maybe” to Capcom

If you want it, get behind it.

Resident Evil Code Veronica remake isn’t in the works at Capcom, but could be if the “opportunity comes, maybe”.

That very non-committal statement comes from Resident Evil 4 remake producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, in conversation with Noisy Pixel.

Long-time franchise fans have been asking for a Code Veronica remake for years now; while the now-confirmed RE4 remake was rumoured for some time, we’ve heard nothing about what is sometimes considered the black sheep of the franchise.

Code Veronica isn’t a numbered sequel in the franchise, but chronologically followed PS2’s RE3 with a debut on the Sega Dreamcast back in 200. The title — starring Chris and Claire Redfield — has been re-released many times over; you can play the title on Xbox One backwards compatibility right this very second.

Would you like to see a proper Resident Evil Code Veronica remake done in the style of the Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4 ones? Why or why not?
