Elgato Gaming’s Maximilian has emerged from the Capcom’s E3 2016 booth with rather conflicting reports on whether or not you can “beat” the Resident Evil 7 demo.
We’re going to assume “beat” in this instance means “emerged unscathed”.
Was told by a Capcom rep that the RE7 demo is beatable. Said the axe doesn't have much use, but the dummy finger has a purpose.

Tough to get into RE7 VR. However, the Capcom guys told the finger/axe info wasn't entirely correct. Back to square one folks.

Add this news to the pile, I guess.
The Resident Evil 7 demo is currently available on PS4 to those with PlayStation Plus.
