The Resident Evil 4 remake looks to be locking select pieces of treasure behind DLC, if an Xbox Store listing is to be believed.
“Discover the hidden treasures that await,” reads an entry for RE4‘s Treasure Map: Expansion DLC (via ResetEra).
“With this map, additional treasures will be placed throughout the game. Some of these treasures can only be obtained by this method.”
The DLC isn’t available separately and is at present only available as part of RE4‘s Deluxe Edition.
We’ll report back as more is known about this curious piece of paid content. In the meantime, do you mind that Capcom is charging players for extra in-game treasures that can be sold for in-game currency?
The Resident Evil 4 remake will be available on Windows PC via Steam, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 from 24 March 2023.
