Resident Evil 3 Remake cover art has been briefly spotted on the PlayStation Store, bolstering rumours of an immanent announcement.
The artwork, above, was first spotted by gamestat, a website that tracks Sony applications and software, and was accompanied by a similar piece of artwork connected to Resident Evil 3 Z Version, a Japan-only release of the game with some sections modified for gore. Capcom’s recent Resident Evil 2 Remake also featured a Z Version for Japan. The first piece of artwork shows off protagonists Jill Valentine and Carlos Olivera alongside the Nemesis in the background, while the Z Version focuses on Nemesis itself.
Both pieces of artwork are below.
Fans have already reacted to the artwork — look closer and you’ll notice that the Nemesis actually sports a smallish nose this time around.
Moreover, gamestat also registered a change to Project Resistance, a 4v1 RE spin-off. The game is now listed as Resident Evil: Resistance.
The Game Awards is about a week away; fans expect the Resident Evil 3 Remake to officially be announced at that time. What do you think?
