Resident Evil 2 1-Shot Demo timer can be disabled on PC

The Resident Evil 2 1-Shot Demo timer has been disabled thanks to crafty folks on PC via Steam.

Players have found that the Steam Achievement Manager tool, sometimes used to unlock Steam Achievements without actually earning them, can also be used to reset the 30 minute time limit that’s been set on the RE2 demo.

You can grab the SAM tool here and refer to a video below by CursedToast that explains how to use it. We don’t endorse this and advise that users undertake the steps at their own risk, of course.

Users are also using PC tools to activate no-clip and additional items inside 1-Shot Demo, providing access to some new areas. Users are also be disappointed by others — it’s been discovered that the S.T.A.R.S. Office in the RPD hasn’t been rendered for the demo and presents a blank room rather than something filled with memorabilia from Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and others.

If you’re interested in such a video, we’ve also embedded one below.

Resident Evil 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
