Rainbow Six Siege original Operator, attachment costs removed

Rainbow Six Siege original Operator and attachment costs have been removed, Ubisoft today confirmed.

As per a new blog post, those who own Rainbow Six: Siege‘s Standard, Advanced, Gold or Complete Editions will no longer have to spend any Renown, or in-game currency, to unlock any of the game’s original 20 Operators from 6 March. Moreover, the Renown cost for all previous and any future attachments have also been removed at that same date.

Sadly, anyone who’s used Renown to unlock any of the affected Operators won’t be receiving a refund “due to a technical limitation,” Ubisoft confirmed.

Moreover, those who purchase Siege‘s $15 USD PC-only Starter Edition after 6 March will receive access to six random Operators rather than just two. Potential Operators as part of the promotion include Ash, Thermite, Thatcher, Fuze, Sledge, Rook, Mute, Smoke, Jager and Kapkan.

Moreover, 600 Siege credits will be up for grabs to those who purchase the Starter Edition.

Rainbow Six: Siege is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Ubisoft has recently detailed a 10-year plan for the title.
