PS5 3D Audio support confirmed for several games

PS5 3D Audio support has been confirmed for several games, including a host of launch titles.

“Headphone audio is the current gold standard for 3D Audio on PS5, as Mark Cerny mentioned in his ‘Road to PS5’ talk in March,” Isabelle Tomatis on the PlayStation Blog.

The post confirmed that “the headphones that many of you already own” will support the feature, though Sony is “working on virtual surround sound through speakers that are built into TVs.”

If you’re opting for the latter option, be aware that “TV speaker virtual surround sound won’t be available on launch day for PS5.”

3D Audio supported titles are as follows:

  • Spider-Man Miles Morales
  • Spider-Man Remastered
  • Destruction AllStars
  • Demon’s Souls
  • Astro’s Playroom
  • Sackboy A Big Adventure
  • Returnal
  • Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart
  • Gran Turismo 7
  • Horizon Forbidden West
  • Resident Evil Village

The PS5 heads to store shelves on 12 November.
