PS3 and Vita Cross-Save functionality to be patched into Borderlands 2

Borderlands 2 won’t be officially released for PS Vita in Australia until 21 May, but the PS Vita Slim bundle — that includes the game — went on sale yesterday in North America , ahead of 13 May Borderlands 2 release date.

Those who purchased the console and game bundle were dismayed to learn that although there is an option in the Vita version for Cross-Save there is no way to access the PS3 version’s save data.

Some users took to the Gearbox forums for answers where a company rep advised that “a patch will be coming out shortly for the PlayStation 3 version of the game.” Shack News is reporting that the patch will gove live 13 May when the PS Vita version is officially launched in North America.

Borderlands 2 is available now for PS3 and will be available for PS Vita on 21 May.
