“Working on this project as a lead studio is like a dream come true for us; it’s something very close to our heart,” Koul continued. “We all grew up playing this game; this game has shown to us in India that there is a gaming industry. That you can be part of the gaming industry and you can make a career in the gaming industry.”

Ubisoft announced news of the transition over on Twitter.

“This decision is an important step and the term, building upon the work achieved by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, will no take the team they need to regroup on the scope of the game to deliver you the best experience for this remake of an all-time classic, when it’s ready,” Ubisoft said.

“We want to thank you all for your continuous support and patience throughout the development. Rest assured, that we will update you on the progress in a future update.”
