Pre-registration now open for the Just Dance Australian Championship

Ubisoft Australia recently confirmed details of the first Australian Just Dance Championship.

A number of state qualifications will take place during September, with a Grand Final to be staged at EB Expo in Sydney on 5 October.

Those who want to take a crack at the Australian Championship, and the chance to take on the world after that, need to pre-register for the competition here.

State Qualifications will take place at the following dates and times across the country:

  • Victoria: Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance, 64 Sutton St, Melbourne from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on 14 September
  • New South Wales: Q2 Dance, 1/105-107 Parramatta Rd, Camperdown from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on 21 September
  • Queensland: RAW Dance Company, 46 Evesham Street, Moorooka from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on 28 September

Two qualifiers from each state will each get 1 return flight to Sydney and 1 nights’ accommodation in order to compete at the EB Expo Australian final.

“We are extremely excited to have Australia chosen to host a local Just Dance ESWC qualification event. The opportunity to send a Just Dance player from Australia to compete on a global scale is something we had to be a part of and we are really glad that we get to do this for our local Just Dance community,” said Matthew Tang, Ubisoft’s Australian Digital Sales and Marketing Manager.

Who’s looking to enter the competition?

Update: An FAQ about the event can be found here.
