Powers coming to Playstation Network in March

Production has wrapped on the Playstation Network exclusive television series Powers, with the show to debut its first three episodes on 10 March before moving to a weekly release schedule for the remaining run.

Executive producer and co-creator of Powers Brian Michael Bendis announced the news on the Playstation Blog today, along with promising more surprises and giveaways closer to launch. The first episode of the show will be free to all Playstation owners, while the rest of the ten episode first season will be available for purchase or free for Playstation Plus subscribers.

No word was given on availability outside of the U.S, or pricing of individual episodes. Powers is based on the comic of the same name, and hopefully finds more critical success than the recently released Halo: Nightfall on Xbox One. History is against television series based on video games, but Powers could prove to be the exception. We’ll find out in March.
