Pokémon Video Game Australian Regional Championship dates confirmed

Nintendo Australia has confirmed the dates of the Regional legs of the Pokémon Video Game Australian Championships over the weekend.

Winners of the Regional events will head to National ones, with top finishers there heading to Washington, D.C to compete in the World Championship events held between 16-17 August 2014.

Regional dates are as follows:

  • Perth – Saturday 10 May
  • Adelaide – Sunday 11 May
  • Sydney – Saturday 17 May
  • Brisbane – Sunday 18 May
  • Melbourne – Saturday 24 May
  • Auckland – Saturday 31 May

Nintendo has also confirmed that the following age divisions will apply:

  • Junior Division: Born in 2003 or later
  • Senior Division: Born in 1999, 2000, 2001, or 2002
  • Masters Division: Born in 1998 or earlier
