A Pokemon Nintendo Direct has been announced for Friday here in Australia.
The presentation will last roughly 20 minutes and will focus on the Pokemon brand. We’re not exactly sure what that will entail — it could be more information on Pokemon Sword and Shield, news about the Pokemon Home app that will allow for transfers between games, or even a teased Detective Pikachu game for Switch. Alternatively, it’s also possible we’ll learn more of a Pokemon animated webseries that was announced back in December. Any guesses?
The livestream is scheduled for 1.30 am AEDT on Friday, 10 January — we’ve embedded the livestream below. As always, we’ll update you with major headlines from the event when you wake up Friday morning.
Update: The livestream has concluded, but you can watch it on demand below. Headlines from the event are as follows:
- Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX release date set for March
- Two Pokemon Sword and Shield expansions coming this year
- Pokemon Home release date set for February 2020
