Playstation TV loses some compatibility at US launch

Sony have quietly updated the Playstation TV compatibility list for the US launch of the PS Vita based microconsole, removing several prominent PSP and PSone Classics titles according to research from members of NeoGAF. Games removed from Playstation TV compatibility include the PSP Syphon Fitler games, Wipeout Pure and Valkyria Chronicles 2, and PSone Classics Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill and Um Jammer Lammy.

No word from Sony on what has caused these removals or why, or even if these are the only titles being cut from the compatibility list for the US release. Due out 14 November in Australia, it is reasonable to expect these cuts to also affect the service for the local launch, and if based around licensing issues, possibly include more titles.
