Penn Jillette: What I said about a new Desert Bus “was not true”

On the latest episode of Penn’s Sunday School, entertainer Penn Jillette clarified that we he said about a new Desert Bus game “was not true”. Despite that statement, it appears he and Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford are reasonably confident a sequel will still be made.

“To find out how many people listen to the podcast, I said we were doing Desert Bus again,” Jillette said.

“What I said about it was not true. We are — I am working with Randy [Pitchford] on Desert Bus and I want to do a another version. But we don’t know how it’s going to be bundled with our stuff. We don’t know if it’ll just be for charity. We don’t know what platform it’s going to be on.”

“Randy listened to the broadcast last week and gave me a whole list of stuff that we don’t know that I just said we do. When he explained to me that I don’t know this stuff and wondered where I got it, I realised I just made it all up.”

Throughout the clarification, Jillette did seem confident that Desert Bus will return in some way or another.
