It’d been a little while since the last champion burrowed her way into the League of Legends roster but the appearance of new glyphs all over Summoners Rift heralded the arrival of new champion. Enter Bard, the Wandering Caretaker, the latest champion to join the ranks.
Bard is a new support hero, designed to roam the map with great efficiency. His passive places Ancient Chimes all over the map that, when collected, play a nice little sound effect and give Bard an increase in movement speed for a short time. His kit also features a nifty stun, a healing shrine for allies he can place for allies and the ability to open a one-way portal through terrain. His ultimate drops a stasis field after a short delay, making all targets within the field immune to damage for the duration. This even works on towers, creating some huge opportunities for dives when Bard roams.
Riot Games also announced the changes coming in patch 5.4 and yes, we finally get DJ Sona this patch. The skin will be 2450 RP (that’s roughly $20 AUD) for the first 4 days after its release, before returning to its regular price of 3250 RP ( roughly $30 AUD).
Also coming this patch will be the ability reworks to Veigar, Mordekaiser and Zilean as well as nerfs to Kassadin, Jarvan IV, Xerath and Katarina.
