Overwatch confirmed for current-gen consoles, launching Autumn 2016

Blizzard has officially confirmed that Overwatch is both coming to current-gen consoles (alongside PC) and will launch in Autumn 2016.

Overwatch is a 6v6, futuristic FPS which requires players to work together and use a range of weapons and abilities to be victorious. Available for pre-order now from the official website and at retail, those who pre-purchase will be gifted the Noire Widowmaker skin on release.

Pre-purchasing the digital version on PC costs $89.95 AUD, while the digital versions on PS4 and Xbox One will eb available on the consoles respective stores for $99.95 AUD. Physcial editions will be available for all three platforms for the same price as the digital editions as well as a special collector’s edition which will retail for $189.95 AUD on PC and $199.95 AUD on consoles. It will include hero skins, Overwatch themed content for Blizzard titled including Diablo III and World of Warcraft, a statue of Soldier: 76, an art book and the title’s soundtrack.

Overwatch is scheduled for launch in Autumn 2016 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One and should arrive no later than 21 June according to Blizzard.
