Overdog now helping you find friends on Xbox One

Dust off that headset you packed away after being called all sorts of names by a pre-teen in Call of Duty, as finding interesting people on Xbox One just got a whole lot easier. The Xbox One app Overdog launched this week, allowing you to select an interest profile then, then friend other Xbox Live users who share interests with you.

The video below explains how it works, but things are pretty simple. You are presented with other users who match your interests and can accept or decline to be put in touch with them. If you accept you can then get in touch and organise to play whatever games you like. Interests can range from websites and bands to of course, games. No word if more controversial topics like political views or ethics in games journalism are available for filtering.

Overdog is available through the Xbox One App Store, with other console support planned in the future. You can check out their website here.
