The Outlast Trials delayed to 2022; here’s a new trailer

COVID strikes again.

The Outlast Trials has been delayed into 2022, developer Red Barrels has confirmed at Gamescom.

According to a press release, the developer delayed the title in order “to allow the team more time to give fans the best experience possible.”

It’s not all bad news, though — a new trailer for the 1-4 player survival horror title was shown off during Opening Night Live. It’s below.

“Set in the height of the Cold War era, players take on the role of test subjects abducted by the shadowy Murkoff Corporation,” Red Barrels said of its work. “Imprisoned in a secret Murkoff facility, players will be thrust into a series of physical and mental ordeals, tormented by iconic characters, and challenged alone or in teams to survive with their sanity intact.”

Expect The Outlast Trials in 2022. Platforms apart from Windows PC via Steam are yet to be confirmed.
