Octodad: Dadliest Catch coming to Wii U in winter

Announced at GDC and via the official Octodad Twitter accountOctodad: Dadliest Catch will be coming to Wii U this winter.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch was first released for PC in January 2014 before coming to PS4 in April of the same year. The game centres around the absurd premise that an octopus has come onto dry land and is pretending to be an adult human, complete with wife and children.

We reviewed the PS4 version here.

While new games coming to the platform is certainly good news for Wii U owners, it’s unlcear if this version will take advantage of the GamePad in anyway or if it will just be a straight port. Aside from the window of ‘winter’, no firm release information has been announced. Octodad: Dadliest Catch is also scheduled to be released for PS Vita this year.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is now available for PC and PS4 and will be available for PS Vita and Wii U this year.
