No Man’s Sky Xbox release comes alongside NEXT update

No Man’s Sky will debut on Xbox One later this year, alongside a major update for all available platforms, Hello Games’ Sean Murray has announced.

“Coming in Summer 2018 [Winter 2018 for Australians] is No Man’s Sky NEXT, a free update for PS4, PC, Xbox and WeGame,” Murray wrote on Twitter. “It’s our largest update so far, and we’re working our socks off.”

Publisher 505 Games took to Twitter to announce that it “will distribute the upcoming Xbox One edition of No Man’s Sky, at retail, worldwide.”

Murray has since confirmed that the Xbox One version of No Man’s Sky will contain its Foundation, Pathfinder, and Atlas Rises expansions and come with 4K and HDR support on Xbox One X.

No Man’s Sky NEXT, but we’ll have more as it becomes available. Murray said in another tweet that this news was rushed up ahead of a potential leak.

No Man’s Sky is currently available on Windows PC and PS4, and heads to Xbox One later this year.
