Nintendo Accounts coming to Australia in March

My Nintendo and Nintendo Accounts are currently exclusive to Japan, but will come to Australia, New Zealand and Europe early next year.

According to DualShockers, who received statement from Nintendo representatives in Australia and Europe, the account management and reward systems will be rolled out in March 2016.

The statement from Nintendo Australia reads;

In Japan, Nintendo has launched its new Nintendo Account system. This preliminary launch represents a limited selection of the full functionality that Nintendo will eventually offer. This preliminary Nintendo Account launch is focused on bringing off-device purchase functionality to the Japanese market.

This preliminary launch is limited to Japan. Nintendo Account and the new My Nintendo membership service will launch in Australia and New Zealand in March 2016.

Nintendo of Europe confirmed the same. The service in Japan currently allows users to register Nintendo Network IDs, purchase digital games and more. A points system, similar to the now defunct Club Nintendo is also present.
