Need for Speed apologies for “milkshake brain” Twitter reply

Whelp.

EA and Criterion have apologised from a Twitter reply in which the Need for Speed account called a user “milkshake brain”.

The account applied to the label to a fan after they criticised the decision to offer pre-orders of the more expensive Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition three days of early access.

A follow up reply continued on to say that the user “cry about it bro or buy regular price idc”.

The tweets in question have been deleted, and the account has since posted an apology.

“We admit we got a bit caught up in the hype for launch and some of our recent social media replies crossed the line. To those fans we upset, we apologise. We will do better. See you here next week,” it reads.

Expect Need for Speed Unbound on Windows PC via Steam, Origin and the Epic Games Store alongside Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5 from 2 December.
