Battlepack microtransactions now exist in Battlefield 4

In a post on the Battlefield Blog DICE has announced that Battlefield 4 now includes microtransactions as players can purchase Battlepacks.

Battlepacks are already present in Battlefield 4 and contain various content such as “accessories, emblem shapes, profile pictures, dog tags, XP boosts, knives, and paints.” Players are still able to earn Battlepacks through regular gameplay progression, but those looking to save time can now purchase Bronze, Silver and Gold Battlepacks via Origin.com, Battlelog.com, through the in-game store, at Xbox Live Marketplace and at the PlayStation Store.

Battlepacks will be priced at $1 for Bronze, $2 for Silver and $3 for Gold.

Battlefield 4 is available now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
