Meta Quest 3 price increases confirmed by Meta

And it all takes effect this weekend.

The price of the Meta Quest 3 headset range will increase over this weekend, Meta has today confirmed.

Starting 19 April in North America (so 20 April here in Australia), the price of the VR headset will increase in multiple regions, including Australia.

Here’s what the Quest 3 headsets will soon set you back:

Australia Meta Quest 3 price increases

  • Meta Quest 3S 128GB: $569.00 (was $499.99; 13% difference)
  • Meta Quest 3S 256GB: $729.00 (was $669.99; 8% difference)
  • Meta Quest 3 512GB: $969.00 AUD (was $799.99 AUD; 19% difference)

Meta Quest 3 price increases in other regions

  • USA: Meta Quest 3 512 GB now $599.99 USD (was $499.99 USD; 17% difference)
  • Canada: Meta Quest 3 512 GB now $829.99 CAD (was $679.99 CAD; 22% difference)
  • UK: Meta Quest 3 512 GB now $549.99 GBP (was $469.99 GBP; 17% difference)

“We’re making this change because the cost of building high-performance VR hardware has risen significantly. The global surge in the price of critical components — specifically memory chips — is impacting almost every category of consumer electronics, including VR. To keep delivering the quality of hardware, software, and support you expect from the Quest platform, we need to adjust our pricing,” Meta said of its decision to increase the price of the headset.
