Who needs a current-gen console?
A Mario Red and Blue Nintendo Switch will be on offer to celebrate Mario’s 35th anniversary, Nintendo has declared.
“[The] Nintendo Switch – Mario Red & Blue Edition… [has] a distinct red-and-blue colour scheme in honour of Mario’s iconic outfit,” Nintendo said of the special console.
“It includes red Joy-Con controllers with blue straps, a blue Joy-Con grip, a red Nintendo Switch dock and a red Nintendo Switch system – making this the first time the Nintendo Switch system itself will be available in a new colour,” Nintendo continued. “It will also include a stylised Mario Red & Blue Edition Carrying Case and a screen protector to help protect the Nintendo Switch when traveling through Warp Pipes or anywhere else life’s adventures may lead them.”
Today’s news also comes as Nintendo showed off new Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury gameplay.
The Mario Red and Blue Nintendo Switch will be available from 12 February 2021 and will br priced at $469.95 AUD.
