Gamescom has been known as the “European E3” so in typical E3 tradition we are getting a string of pre-Gamescom announcements and reveals. That continues with Lords of the Fallen developer Deck13 announcing it will be announcing its new game at Gamescom, a sci-fi action RPG with innovative combat mechanics.
Videogamer is reporting that the gameplay will be kept behind closed doors for now, with a 2017 release date planned. Lords of the Fallen was surprisingly fun for what initially looked to be a Dark Souls clone, so with that experience under their belts it will be fun to see what Deck13 do with a sci-fi setting few “Souls-like” games have ventured to.
