Life is Strange True Colors soundtrack by Angus & Julia Stone

The Aussies have reunited for their first album since 2017.

Life is Strange True Colors soundtrack has been provided by Aussie duo Angus & Julia Stone, who have reunited for their first studio album since 2017.

Called Life is Strange, Angus & Julia Stone’s new album features 12 new songs and can be streamed on Spotify (below).

“A lot of the game is about belonging and grief and pain and love and all the human experiences,” Julia Stone said in conversation with the ABC’s Triple J. “I think all our records and all our songs come back to that thread of: What are we here for? What does it feel like to be human?

“So in that way, [writing a game soundtrack was] very similar to writing just a regular record,” she continued. “But I don’t think we would have made it if the game wasn’t there.”

You can get a taste of how the soundtrack and game weave together in a new trailer, below.

Life is Strange True Colors heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch from 10 September 2021. It also provides access to the Life is Strange Remastered Collection, which follows on those same platforms in 2022.
