League of Legends Season 5 kicks off soon with patch 5.1. The patch brings a whole host of champion fixes, some visual updates for champions and toys with the power levels of some in-game items. Junglers in particular are seeing a lot of love in this patch through item and champion buffs as well as higher gold and experience gains from jungle camps.
One of the largest changes heading into the preseason patches was the new jungle, with a lot of junglers finding it hard to adjust to the new, tougher camps. This combined with the huge diversity of jungling items and paths suddenly available made the junglers game far more difficult. To compensate Riot are buffing a lot of jungle champions while the jungle summoner spell Smite will now hold two charges rather than one.
Riot have also looked to reduce the length of games by making the base breaking buff gained by slaying the Baron Nashor easier to get. The weaker version of the Baron will still spawn at 20 minutes, but it will have less health and do less damage with its’ abilities.
The champion update for Alistar also comes in 5.1, bringing visual improvements to his skins and ability icons.
