Last of Us, Star Trek Picard’s Annie Wersching has died

Wersching was 45.

The Last of Us and Star Trek Picard actor Annie Wersching has died, aged 45, after a long battle with cancer.

Wersching was the voice and motion capture actor for The Last of Us‘ Tess, who is now portrayed by Anna Torv in HBO’s live-action effort. Wersching also is known for roles including the Borg Queen on Star Trek Picard — in which she starred after an initial diagnosis with cancer given in 2020alongside Renee Walker in 24.

“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today,” wrote Wersching’s husband, Stephen Full, “But she left us the tools to fill it.

“She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall,” Full continued. “As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell, ‘Bye!’ until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. ‘I love you little family…’”

Wersching is survived by her husband and three children. Should you wish to support her family in this time, you can visit this GoFundMe.
