Horror streaming service Shudder now available in Australia

The long, long wait is finally over as horror streaming service Shudder is finally available within Australia.

Priced at $6.99 AUD per month, users are now able to sign up for the service locally, doing away the need for things like VPNs. Shudder was first announced to be heading to Australia way back in 2018.

Reviews.org’s Brodie Fogg has confirmed that Shudder is treating this as a “soft launch”, with 7-day trials available to those who’d like to try out the service first. Shudder originals like Host, Creepshow and Cursed Films are available through the first alongside horror staples like It Follows, Hellraiser and more.

While Shudder has apps for devices like Amazon Fire TV, iOS, Android, Roku and Xbox One, the apps don’t appear to be available as yet within Australia. We’ll keep you posted as this changes. Most Shudder titles will stream in 720p, though select, older titles will stream as low as 480p.

Are you going to be trying out Shudder over the weekend?
