Welcome to Derceto.
Pieces Interactive and Plaion have recently given us another look at the upcoming Alone in the Dark, with a new trailer detailing “the haunted corridors of Derceto”.
The trailer also gives us another glimpse of Alone in the Dark‘s famous protagonists: Edward Carnby, portrayed by David Harbour (Stranger Things, Hellboy) and Emily Hartwood, portrayed by Jodie Comer (Free Guy, Killing Eve). Players will be able to experience Alone in the Dark as either character.
“As you explore Derceto, you will come across peculiar residents and strange occurrences that will challenge your core beliefs,” the trailer’s description reads. “Are you prepared to uncover the uneasy truth at the heart of the manor?”
“If you like what you see above, don’t forget that a demo experience in the form of a prequel is now available.
Fair warning though — we called the demo “an underwhelming affair” that left us “feeling like it was trying to set a tone much like Resident Evil 7‘s first demo, but instead came across as boring and lacking context.”
We can expect Alone in the Dark from 20 March 2024 on Windows PC via Steam, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
