HBO dropped the first teaser for its The Last of Us series

You'll be humming for days.

HBO has graced us with a 90 second trailer for its upcoming The Last of Us series and it’s surprisingly stacked for what it’s calling a teaser.

While we didn’t get a concrete release date, we were treated to a tantalising montage of Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) braving the apocalypse. Highlights include Hank Williams’ surprising banger of a country song Alone and Forsaken, a tense peak at a clicker and a brief glimpse of Nick Offerman Jesus.

The series is helmed by Chernobyl Creator Craig Mazin and Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann. It’s also been announced that The Last of Us will also feature Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, who portrayed Joel and Ellie in the video game, in some capacity.

The Last of Us will premiere exclusively on HBO Max in 2023 which means that Australian viewers can expect to stream it via Binge or Foxtel Now.
