Generation Zero closed beta dated for October on PC, consoles

Update 2: Following on from our previous update, Avalanche has advised that potential Xbox One beta players have the remainder of today to register their gamertag.

“We recently contacted you to register your Gamertag with us to secure your place in the Generation Zero Closed Beta,” an email to registered Xbox One users reads. “If you’ve already done this then great, sit back and wait, we’ll be in touch with further instructions next week.  If you have NOT submitted your Gamertag yet then now is the last chance to do so, registrations will be closed in 24hrs.”

Update: Those who’ve signed up for the closed beta have received emails advising of a second step, at least on Xbox One.

“You’ve previously signed-up for the Generation Zero Beta. In order to get you set for when it kicks off on October 17th there’s one more step remaining to GUARANTEE your spot,” the email reads.

A link, here, then asks those who’ve previously signed up to submit their Xbox Gamertag.

If you haven’t signed up for the beta yet, we’d advise using the link below first.

Original story: A Generation Zero closed beta has been confirmed for late October on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.

The closed beta period has been confirmed for 17-21 October.

The game, developed and published by Avalanche Studios, is set in an alternate version of Sweden in 1989. Up against mysterious — and lethal — robot conquerors, you’re merely tasked to survive.

If you’re digging the game’s vibe, you can register to be one of the 100,000 players selected across Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 that will be able to participate in the closed beta. Sign ups will be taken until 30 September, so get in quick.

Generation Zero heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2019.
