Forza Horizon 4 Mixer livestreaming offers in-game rewards

Forza Horizon 4 will offer in-game Influencers for those who participate in real-life Mixer streams, Microsoft has confirmed.

“Influencer” is the new name for Horizon‘s in-game follower, and are required to help upgrade your permanent British Horizon Festival. Mixer recently confirmed that livestreamers and viewers alike can use the livestreaming service to benefit inside Forza Horizon 4.

“Once your accounts are linked, you’ll automatically start earning influence every 5-minutes you spend watching your favorite Forza Horizon 4 Mixer streamers tear up the track,” the Mixer post reads.

“If you’re a broadcaster, we’ve got you covered too! Every 2-minutes you spend streaming Forza Horizon 4 on Mixer you’ll get some Influence of your own, with bonuses awarded for larger viewing audiences. You’ll notice a small ribbon badge located near the game title on Mixer, which indicates that the stream is eligible for earning in-game influence.”

Mixer has confirmed these rewards apply to the Forza Horizon 4 demo, out now across Windows PC and Xbox One. The bonuses will be accessible in the final game, though there’s a bit of work involved.

“Once you’re in-game, you can find your influence in the Mixer section of the ‘Horizon Life’ menu,” the post continues. “Notably, you’ll have to spend a small amount of time unlocking the ‘Mixer’ thread in the campaign – but once you do, all the influence you’ve accrued will be waiting for you!”

Forza Horizon 4 heads to Windows PC and Xbox One on 2 October as part of the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere programs.
