Fortnite‘s newest limited-time event is called High Stakes, and will feature a heist-themed mode called The Getaway later this week.
In The Getaway, teams will compete against one another to capture up to four safes that come via supply drops, spread around the map. Each safe will have a jewel inside which needs to be captured and taken to a getaway van. Opponents, obviously, need to stop others from getting to said van.
The mode looks to release on 7 September, a day later than planned as a “critical controller issue” held things up.
Fortnite is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS and Android.
