Fornite fights back against Apex Legends with free Battle Pass

Fornite is looking to claw back some of its player base from Apex Legends with the offer of a free Battle Pass.

Players who complete 13 Overtime Challenges in Fortnite will automatically earn a free Battle Pass for Season 8 of the game, Epic today announced. The Battle Pass will award players with two Season 8 outfits and the ability to earn up to five more. That’s nothing to sneeze at.

Also available now is a limited time Valentine’s Day bonus; players can send the new Heartspan Glider to a friend, for free, until 11.00 am AEDT on 16 February.

Fornite is available on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch, while Apex Legends is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Both games are free-to-play.
