Final Fantasy XV: “Episode Ignis” will be the last of the three pieces of protagonist DLC

Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata has explained the order of the game’s three pieces of protagonist DLC.

Speaking with DualShockers, Tabata confirmed that “Episode Gladiolus” was scheduled first in order to offer an enhanced battle section. “Episode Prompto” will follow, with “Episode Ignis” being saved for last.

Tabata said “Ignis” would conclude the stories of Noctis’ travelling companions as it had the largest impact on the story of Final Fantasy XV itself. Tabata told DualShockers he wanted to save the it — the best of the three — for last.

“Episode Gladiolus” heads to Xbox One and PS4 on 28 March, also bringing with it an update to the game’s loathed thirteenth chapter.

Final Fantasy XV is available now on Xbox One and PS4.
