Way back in May, we reported it was rumoured the “Last Mission” content would be added into Final Fantasy X-2 HD. It’s now been confirmed the content will be included by producer Yoshinori Kitas in an interview with Siliconera.
“Yes, in addition to the Last Mission from Final Fantasy X-2, additional dresspheres and the Creature Creator will be included in the game,” Kitas said. “I believe this is the first time that these elements will be playable to Western gamers, so I hope you look forward to it.”
The Creature Creator is a feature that allowed players to capture monsters and use them in battle instead of Rikku or Yuna. It also allowed the capture and use of Final Fantasy X characters like Tidus and Seymour.
Three new dressspheres will also be added to the HD remake; Festival Goer, Psychic and Bare. Festival Goer provides the characters with fireworks for attacking, Psychic features a time freeze ability and Bare becomes usable when all three characters run out of HP. While using the Bare dresssphere players can only punch or kick and the characters only have basic clothing.
Final Fantasy X-2 HD will be available for PS3 and PS Vita later this year.
