Bethesda’s Pete Hines has taken to Twitter to potentially squash dreams of Fallout Shelter on PS4.
According to Hines, the game — now available as an Xbox Play Anywhere title on both Windows PC and Xbox One — is really on the latter because of Microsoft’s Universal Windows Platform (UWP) scheme. It’s, as you’d expect, a platform that does not support Sony’s PS4.
dunno. We didn't make it for Xbox. We made it for universal windows platform, which supports a variety of devices

According to Hines, Fallout Shelter was primarily designed for UWP, meaning it’s compatible with PC, Xbox One and Windows Mobile.
Fallout Shelter is now available on Windows PC, Xbox One and mobile devices. We’ll let you know if a PS4 release is confirmed.
