Fallout 4: Here’s the first game-breaking bug players have found

Fallout 4’s first game-breaking bug has been discovered, with several players posting to the official forums.

The bug, which occurs when players are tasked with heading to Monsignor Plaza, completely crashes the title and sends the player back to the desktop on PC. One player noted, “every time I go there it crashes straight to the desktop without any error message, there isn’t one in the Event Viewer either.”

According to the first player to post about the bug, it will only occur if you’ve reached a certain point in the story and may not occur if you’re at an earlier stage. The bug is not limited to the PC version either as both PS4 and Xbox One players have noted the same issue.

There are several workarounds posted in the thread if you’d prefer to attempt them than wait for an official fix from Bethesda.

Fallout 4 is available now.
