Fallout 1st is a Fallout 76 subscription that costs $180 AUD/year

Fallout 1st is a Fallout 76 subscription that can be purchased in monthly or yearly installments, Bethesda today announced.

The subscription service offers unlimited scrap storage, private worlds for the owner and up to seven friends, and 1,650 Atoms per month for the in-game cosmetic shop. There’s some other stuff included in the deal, but at $22.95 AUD per month or $179.95 AUD per year, I’m personally finding it hard to entertain the idea of a purchase.

Quite simply, Fallout 1st costs more than Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass.

You can get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $15.95 AUD, saving $7 AUD compared to Fallout 1st right off the bat. You’ll also gain access to games like Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds instead. Do that instead.

Fallout 76 is available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. The Outer Worlds is available from tomorrow on those same platforms.
