Evil Genius wins The Dota 2 International 2015

North American Dota 2 team Evil Genius have won this years iteration of The International, netting themselves $6,630,109 USD. They put on a dominant performance against their Chinese opponents CDEC, defeating them 3-1.

CDEC still earned themselves a cool $2.8 million USD for taking out second place and were the last team standing in the Upper Bracket after beating EG 2-0 in the Upper Bracket finals. EG faced another CHinese team, LGD, who they defeated 2-0 to force the rematch with CDEC. It was the EGs time to shine, learning from their earlier defeat and finishing the tournament 3-1.

With that The International wrapped up for another year after cementing it’s place as the biggest Esports tournament in history with its $18.4 million USD prize pool.
