Two new Overwatch League teams recently confirmed their names. Say hello to the Paris Eternal and Guangzhou Charge.

Paris Eternal

Paris Eternal confirmed its name alongside its wholly European roster.

Eternal will consist of Benjamin “BenBest” Dieulafait (FR), Damien “HyP” Souville (FR), Nicolas “NiCOgdh” Moret (FR) and Terence “SoOn” Tarlier (FR), Karol “danye” Szczesniak (PL), Finnbjörn “Finnsi” Jonasson (IS), Harrison “Kruise” Pond (UK), Roni “LhCloudy” Tiihonen (FI), and George “ShaDowBurn” Gushcha (RU).

The Eternal will be supported by head coach Julien “Daemon” Ducros alongside support staff by Félix “Féfé” Munch, Joni “Seita” Paavola, and Kyle “Kyky” Souder.

Guangzhou Charge

The Guangzhou Charge confirmed its name alongside an explanation of its logo design.

“We want to build an international organisation and fanbase, so the goal for our team brand was to create a symbol for Guangzhou that people from all of the world can instantly recognise. We took inspiration from iconic sports logos where simple letters have grown to represent an entire city,” Marketing Director, Chris Hwang, said.

“We have a large home region that stretches from the coast to the mountains, and we drew inspiration from dark blue waters, light blue skies, and lush green hills for our team colours. We’re so excited to unveil these elements to our fans, and it’s now our job to build this team brand into something that everyone in our region can be proud of.”

The 2019 season of Overwatch League begins 14 February 2019.
