The League of Origin Grand Final pits VIC against NSW

The League of Origin Grand Final takes place this weekend, pitting Victoria against New South Wales in League of Legends.

Taking place at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on 17 November, Victoria and New South Wales defeated both Queensland and New Zealand for the chance at ultimate bragging rights.

Team Victoria captain, Samuel ‘Spookz’ Broadley, said home court advantage also has its down side.

“It adds a little more pressure to be playing for Victoria in your home state, but the team are really looking forward to it,” Broadley said.

New South Wales team captain, Brandon ‘Swip3rR’ Holland, was all about confidence.

“I was incredibly proud of the team’s efforts over the weekend,” he said. “After initially struggling on the first day, we ended up being able to turn the score around and finish the play-offs strong.”

The League of Legends: League of Origin Grand Final is the result of a partnership between the AFL and Riot Games. Grand Final action commences at 5.30pm AEDT on Saturday, 17 November — you can check out the match over on Twitch.
