FaZe Clan member Jarvis banned from Fortnite over aimbot

FaZe Clan Fortnite player Jarvis Khattri has been issued a permanent ban from the game after it was discovered he has used an aimbot in the past.

Khattri took to a YouTube video to confirm he was “permanently banned on Fortnite for life” after using an aimbot in both Solo and Playground modes. The player insisted it was the “first time” he used an aimbot and that he has “never done this in a competitive game mode at all.”

Jarvis published and then removed a video in which he acknowledges he used the aimbot, adding that he was recording on a spare PC because he wasn’t “trying to get banned instantly.”

“We have a zero-tolerance policy for the usage of cheat software,” Epic Games said in a statement as a response to Jarvis’ ban. “When people use aimbots or other cheat technologies to gain an unfair advantage, they ruin games for people who are playing fairly.”

FaZe Clan has yet to comment on the matter.

Fortnite is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS and Android devices.
