ESL Women’s Sydney Open to be held at IEM Sydney

Australia and New Zealand’s top four female CS:GO teams will compete in the ESL Women’s Sydney Open, to be held on the Community Stage at IEM Sydney 2018.

The teams will be competing for a prize pool of $10,000 AUD, and will be decided by two online qualifiers ahead of the 6 May event. The qualifiers themselves will take place on 18 and 19 April, and interested teams can enter to take part in them right here.

“The ESL Women’s Sydney Open is a fantastic opportunity for our local players to showcase their skills in front of the most passionate audience in Esports at the Community Stage at IEM Sydney,” ESL Australia’s Nick Vanzetti said. “For ESL Australia, this announcement marks the beginning of a commitment for our team to develop more opportunities for women in Esports.”

IEM Sydney 2018 takes place over 4-6 May at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. Tickets are still available for the event.
