Elden Ring gets paid DLC on PC, Xbox and PlayStation; Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Switch 2

More content coming our way in August.

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 will also make new, paid DLC available on Windows PC, Xbox, and PlayStation — and it’s all coming this August.

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will include the acclaimed expansion Shadow of the Erdtree, featuring an epic new adventure expanding on the story of the original,” Bandai Namco said in a press release this morning.

The title also features brand new content including two new Starting Classes for players to choose along with new character armor and the ability to customize Torrent, players’ faithful Spectral Steed,” Bandai Namco continued. “Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is coming 28 August to Nintendo Switch 2, and the new content will also be available to purchase for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.”

Good news for Switch 2 fans, and good news for those who already have the game on an existing platform — everyone wins.

We reviewed Elden Ring here, and followed that up with a review of Shadow of the Erdtree here.

Elden Ring is currently available on Windows PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5. It heads to Switch 2 on 28 August.
