EA voted out in round one of Worst Company in America poll

EA is out of the running to win The Consumerist’s Worst Company in America for a third year in a row after being knocked out in round one against cable telecommunications company Time Warner Cable. TWC won with 51.2 percent of the vote while EA secured 48.8 percent.

EA hasn’t had an easy time of late with Battlefield 4 releasing to a myriad of issues that plagued that game’s launch and severely restricted the ability for players to play multiplayer. Upon winning the title for a second time in 2013, Chief Operating Officer Peter Moore said, “I’ll be the first to admit that we’ve made plenty of mistakes. These include server shut downs too early, games that didn’t meet expectations, missteps on new pricing models and most recently, severely fumbling the launch of SimCity,” Moore admitted. “We owe gamers better performance than this.”

EA can breathe a sigh of relief now having been voted out. Microsoft is still in the running facing off against AT&T.
